A spider spoon is a handy tool to use when you're removing froth or fried food, draining pasta, blanching vegetables, or skimming fats, without burning yourself. It is different to a skimmer as a spider spoon has a deep basket and larger holes, making it more appropriate to hold foods, while a skimmer is flatter with narrower holes, better for liquids. 

This 4.7 inch stainless steel spider spoon has a wide distance between the wires to ensure quick and efficient draining away of fats, and a hanging ring for easy access and storage.   

Rösle has been a family owned business, located in Bavaria, Germany, since 1888. It started as a handicraft business before transforming into a cookware company. For more than 120 years it manufactured its products in Germany (unfortunately in recent years its manufacturing has moved to China).
