A skimmer is a handy tool to use when you're removing froth, or skimming fats, without burning yourself. It is different to a spider spoon as a skimmer is generally flat with narrow holes, making it more appropriate to drain liquids, while a spider spoon is deeper with large holes, better for solids. 

This 4.7 inch skimmer is made from stainless steel, is dishwasher friendly, and a hanging ring for easy access and storage.    

Rösle has been a family owned business, located in Bavaria, Germany, since 1888. It started as a handicraft business before transforming into a cookware company. For more than 120 years it manufactured its products in Germany (unfortunately in recent years its manufacturing has moved to China).
